Believe me when I tell you that even with the very best of intentions, having him living under the same roof won't stop him from getting himself into a mess.

But I can at least assure you that for as long as he's living under this one, he's receiving careful tutelage.

but access to the kind of magical artifacts which you are likely to find and hold in your keeping will prove too much temptation for him, and i think you will find that few barriers will keep him away from them for long
