* A warhammer.
Powers —

Skills:
combat experience    Thor has been raised since birth to fight. He's proficient with most weapons, both ranged and melee, as well as wrestling. He's a brawler rather than a duelist.

Superpowers:
ASGARDIAN
durability    His skin/bone/etc are denser than a humans, making him weigh around 640 pounds and allowing a lot of his other physical traits: This physical toughness makes him pretty resilient against many physical and magical blows, falls from great heights, and other explosions or impacts. He's immune to many diseases and toxins, is not affected by extreme temperatures, asphyxiation, fire, radiation. He does not need food, sleep, or oxygen to survive, and has fought in space with no adverse effects.

strength    Thor can lift weight equaling several million tons, crush uru, and keep up with the Hulk fighting for over an hour.

speed    Thor can move at extremely high speeds. He can spin fast enough to create a tornado, for example. He cannot move at light speed.

senses    While he has superhuman senses, he has no supernatural, magical, or mystical senses outside of knowing if an individual is praying to him.

stamina    Thor can go months without sleep with only a small effect to his abilities. He can exert himself at peak capacity for months.

accelerated healing    When injured he heals much faster than regular humans. He can heal broken wrists in a matter of hours, for example. He cannot regrow lost limbs.

all tongue    This is a language which Asgardians can speak, which allows listeners to hear Thor speaking in their own native language. It allows Thor to understand any language being spoken as well.
hammer summoning    A new power gained through the confluence! Thor's all about hammers, so when he's in need a hammer appears. Literally anything that could be called a hammer, from the biggest to the smallest. When he drops it for a minute, it returns to where it came from, in whatever state Thor left it.

Limitations:
warrior's madness    If you get Thor super duper mad he enters this. It doubles his strength and stamina for a short period, but at the cost of his sanity. He goes into an uncontrollable rage and becomes unable to control his actions. Thor avoids this at all costs, as accidentally hurting someone else is something he can't bear to think he might do.

He's weak to certain forms of magic, doesn't have Mjolnir and therefore any of his canon weather manipulation powers. And emotionally he's a mess.
Personality —
The Thor of legend is the greatest warrior of Asgard and the embodiment of all the values which that culture cherishes. He can fight for weeks on end without tiring and follow it up by feasting and reveling for a solid month. He lives for the day, he is honourable and brave and considers his own safety of little importance next to the safety of those he has sworn to protect.

In his youth he was rash and hot-headed due to his pride or unwillingness to see evil triumph, but after being banished to Earth to learn humility, he cooled his temper and learned to pause and assess a situation before rushing into it. As he grew in might, he grew in wisdom- and defended both Earth and Asgard from numerous foes. He holds back when fighting human foes, because his great strength would easily overwhelm them and he knows it is not his place to impose his will upon humans. But when fighting cosmic threats he shows little mercy.

All would agree: Thor has been honourable, strong, brave, just, selfless, true to his friends, unwavering in his dedication to fighting evil and thwarting all those who mean harm to Asgard and Earth. But above and beyond all such superlatives and adjectives is one word which described the Thor of legend, one which summed his character and traits, the title which allowed him to carry the enchanted Uru hammer: worthy.

But now he is worthy no longer, and can no longer lift Mjolnir.

Thor has spent his whole life in pursuit of worthiness. As a boy he trained with the desire to become able to lift the hammer, to satisfy his pride and prove that he was the greatest warrior and son of Asgard. He achieved this, and all Asgard knew of his accomplishment. But as he grew, as years passed with Mjolnir at his side, as he fought on Earth and eventually came to love it as much as he loved Asgard, worthiness became his identity rather than a means to access his weapon. He was Thor the Worthy, and the title was both a challenge to hold himself to highest standards of behaviour and a reassurance that he was doing the right thing.

But Thor's faith in himself and his role as God of Thunder has been challenged-- he was given proof that mortals would be better off without gods. And how can he be worthy if his very existence is a hindrance to those he has given his life for helping?

Without his worthiness, without that self-confidence and foundation to push him forward, Thor becomes as he was in his youth: bull-headed, angry, relying only on his strength and endurance to solve problems rather than the patience and wisdom he has learned. Even when it loses him his arm he still struggles with trying to find again who he is and how he can be worthy.

From his latest canonpoint he has made peace with himself and is back to some semblance of his normal self-- but he is still unworthy and still grappling with his questions. Can he help others? What good can he really do in the universe? Who is he without the hammer? These are questions he both does and doesn't want to answer-- because whatever he learns he will have to follow through on.

There was a time my mornings were spent racing comets and winning.

I would fly from one end of the cosmos to the other, soaring so close to stars my cape would alight.

My only compatriots, the thunder in my ears and the cold hard chunk of uru in my hand.

But I am not that god anymore. That god was worthy.

I am the Odinson.
